Tikaja is located in the state of Gandaki.State of Gandaki's capital Pokhara (पोखरा) is approximately 37 km / 23 mile away from Tikaja. The distance from Tikaja to Nepal's capital Kathmandu (काठमण्डौँ ) is approximately 237 km / 148 mile.

Tikaja, the heart of Aandhikhola Rural Municipality of Syangja, is a small village surrounded by hills like Kharsu and Nuwakot. It is a small village in the western hills of Nepal, in the Aandhikhola valley in Syangja district, Gandaki Zone of Nepal.Syangja bazaar is at the height of 1088 meters from sea level.It is 7km far away from city.

About 80% of the population depends upon agriculture directly or indirectly. All these people are living in villages. Village Life is very simple, sincere and frank. People living there, have no artificiality and no hypocrisy.

Life in a village is also very peaceful. It is free from the dust and noise of traffic as well as the smoke and dust produced by the factories. The villagers can enjoy fresh air, open sunshine and the beautiful scenes of nature like the green fields, tall hills, murmuring streams, chirping birds, etc, there is no fear of adulteration as faced by the people living in cities.
